Pilgrimage of Wonder

This past July, Sam, Jack and their good friend Jake (who was visiting from the States) made their first trip to LegoLand. It is just outside London, in Windsor. I have posted some pics of the unforgettable displays there of the London Skyline. The miniland attractions are massive in scope. As you look at these, you completely forget that you are looking at LEGO bricks and there is such an attention to detail. There are also other landmarks from around the world...the USA was represented with a display of NASA and Mt. Rushmore. It was quite amazing...I really enjoyed this part of the visit. After this trip...both my boys decided that they wanted to be "ARCHITECTS" (they pronounce it ARKT TIK TECTS)....for Legoland when thet grow up. :)

CLICK ON THE PICS TO ENLARGE...YOU CAN SEE THE INDIVIDUAL BRICKS!

London Eye and Big Ben...you can even see the River Thames...

After seeing your wonderful pictures, I'm sorry we never made it to Legoland. We lived in England near RAF Alconbury for 3 1/2 years while my husband was in the US Air Force. We loved our stay there. We lived in the village of Hilton in Cambridgeshire.

Your pics brought back memories, we took our sons there years ago. Our eldest thought he was too old :-) and called it a pile of bricks but we know that he loved it secretly. Our youngest was spellbound. We still have our lego buckets put away for another generation of engineers :-)
